Ulteriore suddivisione in classi:

Placofori : numerose e ben distinguibili piastre (cerami) del gen. Chiton;

Bivalvi : si va dalla forma di taglia gigantesca, come alcuni Pecten e Ostree, alle forme più ridotte.

Gasteropodi : eccezionali e numerosi gli esempi attestanti variazioni climatiche. Abbondanti sono i tipi rari, comunque estinti nel Mediterraneo o migrati in altri mari. Sono presenti forme macro e micro. È il gruppo più rappresentativo dell’intera collezione, sia per il numero elevato degli esemplari, che per la varietà di forme.  Tra gli esemplari microscopici molti sono quelli rari o nuovi per la Scienza.

Other classes are the following:

Placofori: There are various and distinguishable slabs (Cerami) belonging to Chiton genera;

Bivalvi: There are various forms of different size. Among the big size forms some Pecten and Ostree can be observed.

Gasteropodi: Many exceptional specimens attest different variation of climatic conditions. There are numerous rare kinds at present extincted in Mediterranean or migrated in other seas. There are macro and micro forms. It is the unit most representative group of the entire collection either for the great number of exemplars or for the various forms. Among the microscopic exemplars there are many rare or new specimens for the Science.
